Trump stated that he will first address the issue with Iran before advancing the agreement with Cuba

Trump stated that Cuba wishes to reach an agreement with the United States, but he wants to end the war in Iran first before dealing with matters related to Cuba. Trump told reporters on "Air Force One" on Sunday local time: "I think we will reach an agreement soon, or take the actions we must take. We are in dialogue with Cuba, but we will address the Iran issue before dealing with Cuba."
During Trump's administration, the United States has been increasing pressure on Cuba, implementing an almost complete fuel blockade. The Cuban government confirmed on Friday that it has been in contact with U.S. officials. Cuban President Díaz-Canel stated that both sides are exploring "potential solutions to resolve our bilateral differences."
